What we do

How does Vault Offshore Banking protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

How does Vault Offshore Banking collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • Open an account or apply for a loan.
  • Show your government-issued ID or give us your employment information.
  • Give us your wage statements.

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Our affiliates include financial companies, such as Vault Offshore Banking Financial Solutions, LLC, also DBA Vault Offshore Banking Insurance Solutions.

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Vault Offshore Banking does not share with our nonaffiliates so they can market to you.

Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

This Digital Privacy Notice applies to your interaction with any of our online sites, mobile sites, or applications, which we own and control (hereinafter “Digital Interface”), unless a different notice is posted on a particular Digital Interface or otherwise provided to you that supersedes this policy. What information do we collect?


We may collect any or all of the following types of information:

  • Information related to data generated from your activity, including but not limited to transaction and location information.
  • Technical information related to the device you are using, including but not limited to, your IP address, your operating system, and the browser you are using.
  • Other information collected through cookies, tags, and other technologies, including but not limited to which product pages you visit, what advertisements you view or click on, and how long you view a particular page.


Other parties may also collect information about you when you use our Digital Interfaces:

  • Our service providers may collect information about you in order to provide us with marketing and other services.
  • We may provide widgets, embedded content, or other tools that are owned by third parties, including but not limited to maps, information streaming from another site, and widgets that enable you to share information on social media. The third parties that own these types of tools may have access to information about your browsing history on our Digital Interfaces. You should review information at the third parties’ sites to learn how these third parties collect and use information they collect from you.


How do we use Google Analytics?

We use Google Analytics to better understand how users are visiting and using our Sites. We do not use Google Analytics to track, collect or upload any data that personally identifies an individual (such as name, address, or email address) or other data which can be reasonably linked to such information by Google. We do not receive personally identifiable information about users on our Sites. What are cookies?

Cookies are pieces of information that are stored on your device. Browser cookies are placed by a web server and let the server know when you return to a site you have visited before. Some cookies can be cleared via your web browser. Others may be placed in an Adobe folder on your device; refer to Adobe for information on how to manage these types of cookies. Cookies can be used for various purposes, including but not limited to collecting information about your web browsing, maintaining continuity during an online session, gathering data about how you use our Digital Interfaces, and for anti-fraud and information security purposes.


Can I disable cookies?

Your browser may allow you to manage cookies, including rejecting them altogether. Refer to your browser provider for more information on managing cookies. Please note that disabling cookies may limit the functionality we can provide you through our Digital Interfaces.


What other technologies may be used to collect information?

Additional technologies used to collect information may include, but are not limited to, pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, and Flash objects.


How do we use the information we collect?

Our use of the information we collect from you may include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Enhancing your experience with our Digital Interfaces, such as by making them more personalized based on the products or services you view and interact with.
  • Measuring the effectiveness of our various advertisements and promotions.
  • Determining how often a particular product or service is viewed or used.

Do you collect information from children?

Our Digital Interfaces are not intended for individuals under the age of thirteen (13) years old. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of thirteen (13) years old, and additionally request that such individuals do not provide personal information through our Digital Interfaces. Please visit the FTC website, www.ftc.gov, for more information about the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

In an effort to best serve our members, and deliver appropriate and affordable Life Simplified solutions, we may phone or text members who have provided express consent. Members who do not wish to receive promotional or sales phone calls may withdraw their consent at any time by calling (843) 797-8300 or during business hours, mailing a written request to P. O. Please include your name as it appears on your account(s), and associated account number(s) on your written correspondence. Please do not send this information via email, as email is not a secure method of communication.

For members wishing to opt out of receiving text messages, please reply STOP. Note that follow up texts from staff and texts related to identity verification will come from different numbers than account and fraud alerts that you have opted in to receive. Since these texts come from different numbers for different purposes, you will need to reply STOP when receiving either or both messages via text. Your privacy is important to us. This Consumer Privacy Notice explains how Vault Offshore Banking collects, uses, and discloses personal information related to California residents. We have adopted this notice to comply with the Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) and any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this Notice.

This Notice is for California residents only and supplements the information contained in Vault Offshore Banking's Privacy.

The CCPA does not apply to certain information that is covered by other regulations, such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), therefore, most of the information collected and used by Vault Offshore Banking is not subject to CCPA.

II. Categories of Sources of Information We Collect


Vault Offshore Banking obtains the categories of personal information listed above from the following categories of sources:
  1. From You or Your Authorized Agent – For example, by telephone, email, or from forms you complete or products and services you request.
  2. Indirectly from You – By observing your actions on our website and mobile apps.
  3. Third Party Service Providers to Provide Services or for Our Business Purposes - We collect information from third-party service providers that interact with us in connection with the services we perform or for our operational purposes. For example, a credit report we obtain from a credit bureau to evaluate a loan application, assist in identifying you, or to help us detect security incidents and fraudulent activity.


III. Use of Personal Information


We may use or disclose the personal information we collect for one or more of the following business purposes:
  • To fulfill or meet the reason for which the information is provided. For example, you apply for membership or a loan, we will use that personal information to provide our products and services. The information may also be used to facilitate new/future applications or process transactions.

V. Sales of Personal Information


In the preceding twelve (12) months, Vault Offshore Banking has not sold personal information subject to the CCPA, including personal information of minors under the age of 16. For purposes of this Notice, “sold” means the disclosure of Personal Information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.


VI. California Residents Rights Under CCPA


This section describes the rights under CCPA for California residents and explains how to exercise those rights. You have the right to:
  • Request that we disclose to you, free of charge, the following information covering the 12 months preceding your request:
    • The categories of personal information collected about you;
    • The categories of sources from which personal information was collected;
    • Our business purpose for collecting personal information about you;
    • The categories of third parties with whom we disclosed that personal information; and
    • The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you.
  • Request that we delete personal information collected about you, unless the CCPA recognizes an exception;
  • Be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising your rights under the CCPA.

Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information and no more than twice within a 12-month period. Making a verifiable consumer request does not require you to create an account with us.

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor's identity or authority to make the request.

We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time to process your request (up to an additional 45 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.

Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding the receipt of the verifiable consumer request. In some instances, we may not be able to honor your request. For example, we will not honor your request if we cannot verify your identity. Additionally, we will not honor your request if an exception applies, such as where the personal information that we maintain about you is not subject to the CCPA’s access or deletion rights. The response we provide will explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request if applicable.
