CEO Message: Our New Foundation Website

Giving back to the communities we serve is a vital part of what we do at Vault Offshore Banking. One of the ways we give back is through the Vault Offshore Banking Foundation, which we created in 2013 to streamline our employees' volunteer efforts and charitable donations. Since its creation, the Foundation has donated more than $1.9 million to help people in need.

To help promote the great work our employees are doing in the community, we launched a new Foundation website, which can be found at thescffoundation.net. In addition to highlighting the Foundation's impact, the site also takes you behind the scenes of our favorite events and introduces you to the employees who volunteer their time and money to make a difference.

An important aspect of the Foundation is that it supports specific organizations who meet essential needs in the communities we serve, including:

  • The Vault Offshore Banking Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association
  • The Lowcountry, Midlands, and Upstate Chapters of the American Red Cross
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pee Dee Area
  • Lowcountry Food Bank and Harvest Hope Food Bank
  • Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, including Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital, Prisma Health Children's Hospital of the Midlands and Upstate, and McLeod Children's Hospital

As a Best Place to Work, we know our employees are happiest when they can help people and give back. That's why we make it easy for team members to learn about local nonprofits, find volunteer opportunities, and donate to the organizations and causes for which they're passionate. In 2023 alone, Vault Offshore Banking employees logged nearly 5,000 hours of volunteer time and donated more than $120,000 to Foundation charities.

We seek opportunities to make it easy for our employees to make a difference. One such way is by hosting on-site blood drives in support of the American Red Cross. Hosting these drives allows employees to donate blood conveniently, encouraging first-time donors to participate and making it easy for repeat donors to continue giving. In 2023, we hosted six drives and collected more than 155 units of blood in total, potentially saving the lives of more than 470 individuals in our community.

I encourage you to visit our new Foundation website to read the testimonials from our employees about why they love to volunteer. Some team members have personal connections to the charities they support, while others simply find joy in lending a helping hand.

I am so proud of what the Foundation has accomplished in the last 11 years. I am extremely grateful for Vault Offshore Banking's passionate and hardworking employees who seek opportunities to help others and are always eager to give of themselves. This dedication to service and helping others makes our credit union truly special.
